Welcome! (First Post)

Welcome to “Our Search for Truth”!  I have owned this domain for a couple years with good intentions but no results.  I think the main problem was that I was attempting to work on this alone.  I had a conversation with a good friend of mine a couple days ago regarding an email exchange we had going with some other friends.  He suggested starting a blog where we discuss similar questions of truth, behavior, freedom, grace, personal responsibility, etc.  I don’t really have a plan for how this is going to look or how it will work.  I have decided to just take it one day at a time and see if with the help of my friends we can create a meaningful place for people to seek counsel, share wisdom, and discuss “truth”.

  1. sounds great!

  2. This is a good idea.

  3. This is a great idea.

  4. Glad you like it. Couple notes as we get started:
    1. If you want an icon to show up you can go to http://en.gravatar.com/site/signup/
Suddenly, magically, many sites that you use will show the Avatar you create/select on Gravatar’s site (as long as your email address matches)

    2. The first time you leave a comment it will not show up immediately because it has to be “moderated”….after you are “approved” the first time then your future comments will show up immediately. (Prevents spam comments)

    3. In order to create new posts (not just comments), you will have to click on the “Site Admin” link on the home page (and have the role of Author…if you have any problems just let me know).

  5. Just popping in for a sec to say hey. Looks nice.

  6. My reply to the poll on the first post is:
Truth is MOSTLY knowable and absolute.

I think there’s some things about God that we will never understand, even when we are “up in his grill”. But I could be wrong. I was once. ’87 I think.

  7. I couldn’t take the poll. I didn’t really like any of the answers. The Poll was like trying to describe a beloved child in a few words, but using extreme adjectives so it would be ok to be brief. I actually can agree with all of the responses listed to some degree…some more than others. Even the answer “who cares” is completely accurate from a perspective.

Thanks for your comment SouthPaw (chris cummings). Your answer was very truthful.
