How-to: Create a Gravatar
You don’t need a Gravatar to enjoy using OS4T but it does help people on the site identify you and once you set it up for OS4T it will also work with thousands of other sites.
What is a Gravatar?:
A Gravatar is basically just an avatar (small picture of you or a picture that symbolizes you).
In the old days, you would have to create an avatar for every different site you visited. Now, using Gravatar, the site uses your email address to look up and load the avatar automatically.
Here is my Gravatar as an example:

Gravatar’s can only be created at Gravatar.com but below are instructions to help you through the process:
When you click on the Gravatar.com above you will be taken to a website where you simply enter your email address:
You will receive an email. Just click on the first link in the email.
Just click on the first link in the email
Enter a username and password and click “Signup”
Enter a username and password and click Signup
Once you are signed in you need to upload at least one image to use with your first email address:
Click on the "Add one by clicking here" link to add your first image
Choose where you want to load the first image from. The instructions below are for the 1st option (from your computer’s harddrive):
You should probably start with the "On your computers harddrive" option
Select the file and click next:
Select the file and click Next
Crop the image and then click either “Crop and Finish” button:
You can crop your Gravatar - Just select the part of the image you want to use and then click "Crop and Finish"
Give your Gravatar a rating:
Decide what you think your image should be rated...this is used by sites to decide which image to display...you can load multiple images and it will use the highest rated one allowed for that particular site. OS4T only allows G and PG Gravatars
Finally, you can add more images or email accounts to your Gravatar account, change your password, or just log out.
Using the My Account menu at the top of the screen you can add more images or email address to your Gravatar account or change your password
That’s it! Now every site that you visit that supports Gravatars will automagically load your image. Congratulations!!
